Start with the station nearest your destination

Search for the place you want to reach, then identify the most convenient metro station. The nearest station on a map is not always the simplest choice: a slightly longer walk can avoid an extra transfer or put you on the correct side of a large road.

Metrio lets you search the station list, select a start and destination, and view the route on the network map. This is faster than tracing several colored lines by eye, especially when station names are unfamiliar.

Read lines and interchange stations

Each color represents a metro line. Follow the color from your starting station toward the destination and note every point where the route moves to another line. Those points are interchanges. Station names at an interchange may differ between lines, so use the route details rather than assuming the same label will appear everywhere.

• Confirm the direction by the terminal station shown on signs
• Count the stops before each interchange
• Check the name of the line you need after the transfer
• Keep the destination station visible until you exit

Choose a route by more than distance

The shortest-looking path is not always the easiest. Compare the number of stops and transfers. A route with one additional stop but no interchange can be more comfortable with luggage, children or limited time to interpret signs.

For a first journey, prefer the route you can explain in one sentence: take this line in this direction, change once at this station, then leave after this many stops.

Prepare the map for offline use

Mobile reception can be inconsistent underground, and roaming may be unavailable to visitors. Open Metrio before entering the station, find the route and keep the details on your phone. The app is designed so its map, station search and route planning remain useful without a network connection.

Because transport information can change, verify closures and service notices through official sources when you have a connection. Metrio is an independent guide, not an official Tashkent Metro service.

Before walking through the gates, confirm the start station, destination, direction, interchange names and final stop count. Recheck the route after every transfer. This small routine prevents most wrong-direction mistakes and makes the map much easier to use.
